Tokyosnowlet: A Couple of Good Michigan Primary Results

A Couple of Good Michigan Primary Results

On the republican ticket, businessman and non-politician Rick Snyder has won the nomination in his bid for the governors seat.

U.S. Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (D-MI) was defeated on the democratic ticket for her bid in another term in the U.S. House (that's Kwames mommy).

Both of these results bode well for an excellent November.

In Kilpatrick's case her last name being tied to the former convicted Mayor of Detroit obviously did not help but also being an incumbent did not help her cause any as this is considered a huge upset in her district.

In Snyder's case this is an anti-career politician choice and of course economic as well given his background.

Mr. Snyder won over no less than four currently elected career politicians; U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), MI AG Mike Cox, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard and MI State Senator Tom George.
