Tokyosnowlet: It's Not Fair

It's Not Fair

With unemployment at 9.6% nationally as the 'official' number and estimated at around 16% when figuring in those not receiving benefits any longer is it any wonder why people are asking, "Where are the jobs"?

It is well known that small business's make up to 70% of job creation and or those who are still employed. Now one must be aware of how the government defines "Small Business", basically a company with less than 500 employee's if a manufacturer and less than $7 million in receipts for a non-manufacturing business. Taking that last sentence into account, I would bet that most reading this either work for a small business or did.

Many people believe that owners of small business's are "rich" and thus can afford to pay more in taxation.
Now in some cases that may be true concerning the "rich" part but in most cases it could not be further from truth, either way excessive taxation is just that, excessive. I know this to be true as I was a co-owner of a small business and I did not get rich nor am I now. We worked our asses off to make it work and employed numerous people to help us do it. We paid them more than a fair wage with full benefit's.

People who never venture into entrepreneurship have no idea of the heavy weight of the government upon it in the form of taxation. The more taxation on business no matter the owners wealth is ridiculous as the money paid in excessive taxation would have gone back into the company in the form of hiring and new equipment.

I could go on but defer to the video below to explain why unemployment is still high and will remain that way for the foreseeable future if government does not act responsibly,,,,,

You can read for yourself on the tax hikes coming in four months time, the largest tax hike in American history here and here.

I can honestly say from my own experience that employee's are indeed a companies greatest asset and business owners do in fact want to hire people for when they do it is for the reason of the company growing.

Small business is being gouged by the government and in turn people are being denied gainful employment, it's not fair.
