A Great Dual-Purpose Idea for Remembering 9/11

As the 10th year Anniversary of 9/11 draws near (its hard to believe 10 years have passed) there are many events in many communities to commemorate and remember those who we lost on that fateful day.

I am sure most reading this are more than aware of their local events and I am wondering if this idea that is being promoted in my area by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers might be being replicated around the Nation?

Public Is Encouraged To Participate In 9/11 Floating Sky Lantern Ceremony

Here’s how it works:

– Stop by any Metro Detroit Chevy Dealer beginning August 25th 

– Make a $5 donation and receive a floating sky lantern (All proceeds to benefit the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division Emergency Disaster Services)


– On 9/11 at 9:11 p.m. please join us in lighting the lantern in remembrance.

In any event I hope my local fellow Patriots will join in this event as I myself believe it's a good idea and a very good cause.
