Beautiful, ain't she? That my dear, is Colette. Oh, the bag, not the model.

This, is Colette. The key feature of the Colette collection is the leather strips at both sides at the upper part of the bag, the ring holding the adjustable strap of the bag and of course, the logo of Coach which consists of 4 Cs just like the Julie.

With every new collection coming in, among all the colours and materials, there must be at least one bag in the signature monogram (and that applies to all designer labels too) no matter in what colour.
Here (above) we have the Colette hobo bag in the signature khaki/brass sateen, which I think looks really good. And beside it is one in silver/graphite colour which is somehow a signature colour as well, but unique. Going for something unique at just US$278 is VERY reasonable.

Of course there must be a leather version for the Colette, and they come in
(I hate those colour names like, rose, plum, camel, can't they go like, pink, violet, tan? Ugh.) white, black, pink, light brown and violet (the huge picture at the top). Well, it's nice, but nothing unique. US$298 a pop.

The colette also comes in a Carry-all version and Tote. The difference of these 2 is that the tote version is 3 inches taller and has side pockets compared to the carry-all ones.
The one above is a carry-all Colette in white leather. The carry-all comes in different types of materials and colours and starts from US$298 up till US$398.
In this collection, Coach came up with different ways on using leather and also different types of leather.

One is, the elevated leather. This leather may look very rough and scratched, but it has a very soft and supple feeling to its touch. The Colette in elevated leather comes only in gold, and grey. The hobo bag above retails for US$328 each. I'd say a great investment for a leather item.

Finally, Coach gives us some perforated leather. The 2 bags above is the Colette perforated op art tote. Notice the side pockets. It comes in gold, and white. This one's a little pricey at US$398 for one. Not very classic for a long-term usage, but not too seasonal also.

One last different leather, the overlay. I think this is pretty unique too and needs quite a little more work. It's a piece of Nappa leather, with patent leather stitched over it to give the bag a little contrast between the matte and the shiny part. It comes only in black and beige. Of course craftsmanship has its price, and this one has the biggest price tag in the collection, US$458 for the regular ones and US$498 for the large ones, but I gotta say it's worth the dollars!

I never liked colourful canvas bags from Coach. They look like imitation bags, and that applies for the 4 scarf print fabric bags above. Definitely a nay for me.
Of course there are more bags and SLGs that Coach offers from this collection,
you would have to see it for yourselves here, but I'm impressed with the different types and ways Coach uses its leather for this collection.
What is your favourite?

Mine's the gold carry-all Colette.
