Please view the graph below. It is very informative and ask that you take note of the top two expenditures, yes they are entitlements loved by the left as opposed the the third, Defense, which happens to be Constitutionally mandated but conversely much maligned by the left.
I am sure just an average unbiased CPA along with a REAL constitutional attorney could take a spread sheet on any one of these expenditures and identify billions of dollars of liabilities to be cut, permanently.
The source for the graph is a website developed by the CATO Institute named downsizing THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. There is a wealth of information here and to be honest it is not for the timid as the numbers can be intimidating to be sure, but now is not the time to hide from what must be realized.
